20th January 2008
Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Fludyers
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: 12-17knots
Surf / Sea State: little choppy but OK
Air Temperature: 13
Sea Temperature: 9.5
Weather: cloudy
Max Speed: 28.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 11.6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

I got down about 11 and Ian was already there. I rigged a 7m but after one run on 145l that was too much. The board is really too big for 7m winds, so I changed down to 6m on 107l which was about right. Wind was up and down; it was cross shore at Fludyers but was coming across the bay so off the land which I guess caused the fluctuations. Some nice runs and the sea was quite nice and flat. Mark turned up and later Darren, so four of us out in the end, and even the sun made a brief appearance. I was not cold until the end and didn't really need a hood or gloves. I'm still recovering fom my cold so didn't stay out too long. I sailed for about and hour and a half reaching 28.1knots. I didn't feel that fast but maybe as the sea was quite flat.
